Dhaarus Salaam Matriculation Higher Secondary School (DSMHSS) was founded in Salem, Tamil Nadu, by M.M.A. Abdul Mannan, a prominent businessman and philanthropist of the city, in 1996. The institution functions under the auspices of the Dhaarus Salaam Trust, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the service of the community in the field of education, especially for girls.
The school building has been constructed on land donated by Mr. Abdul Mannan. DSMHSS is recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Directorate of Matriculation schools, Chennai and now offers education from lower kindergarten (LKG) up to Class 12.
We want to promote education for girls in order to equip them with skills to improve their socio-economic condition. DSMHSS students are taught to be upright, creative and loyal citizens of India, who have compassion and concern for others and nature.
To provide a learning environment that encourages children to bring out the best in themselves and enables their all-round development through the joy of learning. We try and create a “Home-Away-From-Home” where the emotional and intellectual needs of a child are met by our staff and management members.
